Worcester 28cdi problems?

A mate of min has suggested that it could be 2 separate problems. The shower could be knackered altogether and the hot water tap on the bath is faulty as well.

But I don't see how a faulty how water tap could cause such a rapid reduction in temperature

Sussed the problem of the shower.

Turns out the hot water was going in the cold socket and vice versa. I now have a fully functioning shower.

However I still need to turn the taps right down to get scalding hot water
