Just imagine a fire in the property with plastic gas pipes!!! If you are referring to copper pipe with a yellow plastic coating then I guess it would be ok,but it begs the question WHY? as it is more expensive.Stick to copper for internal gas supplies.
the only bit allowed is the service main from the street, this must be in a sleeve and terminate at the top of the sleeve.
