Hello
I have an old Securitech system and to be fair I'm a bit worried about putting my alarm on knowing that if it goes off accidentally I won't be there to stop it.
Is there anything I can buy to send a text or call once my alarm is triggered?
Thanks.

Yes. They're called speech dialers and they are pretty simple devices to install. There are usually 7 connections to make (12 volt supply, trigger wire, tamper and phoneline) I recommend the Menvier SD1+. If you haven't got a landline at the property, there are several units out there that work over GSM (like a mobile phone). Again, Menvier make the SD3 which uses both the landline and GSM paths, but it's quite expensive.

It shouldn't 'go off' from one year to the next.

New battery and sensors and yours won't either.
