Perhaps you missed the clues? The title and discussion is to do with the 'Iron Lady' (I use the term 'lady' in quote only), ie 'Thatcher', not the whole Tory party. No one in this discussion has/is saying all the rest of any party are perfect. So simply drawing comparison to try and support your misguided view is futile. Stick to what she destroyed... erm, I mean 'achieved'... in your view.

Amazing how some just don't understand economics isn't it...

Public debt as a % of GDP in 1997 (when the Tories lost office) was 49.8% of GDP...

This actually fell to 44.2% of GDP in 2008 before the current 'crisis' that was created by the senile old bat....

Funny how some view her with rose tinted glasses...

Deficit vs GDP might give you a clue...

So please tell me how my view is misguided. The electorate did not get rid of her. So what did she destroy?
