Did you know that most of the poor souls who are dead, die in some one elses pond, be that friend, neighbour etc.

The majority could have been prevented if parents wacthed their children when in some one elses garden.

I am in favour of keeping ponds etc.

There are also "grid sytems" that sit below the water level

teach the kids to swim..

and invaluable tool to anyone...

kids instinctively know how to swim and survive underwater when they are born.. ( see nirvana album cover for proof )..

it's adults that tell them that water is bad and to stay out of it that scares them off it..

I beleive swimming or not being able to swim is not the point, in most ponds all you have to do is stand up, but if you are small and wondering what is in there and you fall in, standing up to save your self will not be the first thing that comes to mind, but i bet panic will

no. the ones i mention are made from palstic, not welded mesh
