Yell.com

Two of my friends have said that they also got conned into an 8 week free trial that turned out to be a years contract.

It seems this company don't know what tricks their sales people are up to, or do they?

You might want to consider contacting the rogue traders team at the BBC and see if they have other instances of this same complaint.

If not I can cancel with 7 days notice.
Do it now.

Is Y.C worth the fee?
Isn't even worth as much as the initial free offer.

Seriously - you'll get nothing but back-street accountants and debt collection agencies calling you, offering their services.

And if you get any calls from real punters wanting work done, do you really want the kind of client who can't find anyone they know to recommend a tradesman, and has to resort to the Cowboy Pages?

Yell dot com is only good if you have a unique business, IE Horse teeth flossing specialists.
