I have had a damp problem recently and I have used DryZone to try and cure it. Has anybody got any experience of using DryZone and what were the results?

we are approved installers of dry zone from bio kill crown all the jobs we have used it on, have had very good results a little bit pricey but seems to do the trick.

Well, I did the job myself. I bought 5 tubes of DryZone and the the DryZone gun. I spoke to the DZ technical helpline for tips and advice. I have to say that thay were more than helpful. I applied the silicone as recommended and also injected some extra just to be on the safe side (DZ advised me that I couldn't over use it but I could under use it).
I did the job about a month ago and I still have the patches on the walls. Is this normal? DZ said that the silicone may penetrate and I would have patches till I decorate, is this the case?

It is generally accepted that walls take at least 6 months to dry out after a DPC is installed - it can even take sevaral years for thick walls.

I assume you have replastered (you don't mention it) - as if you still have old salt contaminated plaster on the wall it will still be attracting moisture.

I didn't replaster cos I had the walls back to the brick and there was no evidence of damp. I didn't re-do it cos I thought it would be OK cos it's only been damp for a number of weeks as opposed to a number of years. Am I wrong?
