A dodgy electrical connection or perhaps an element on its way out.
A sparky or part P registered plumber will be able to check it out for you

It is common to fit showers which are too big for the cable supplying them and as long as no used for an extended period one normally gets away with it. Here is conversion Kw to Amps
8.5 = 36.95652174
9 = 39.13043478
9.5 = 41.30434783
10 = 43.47826087
10.5 = 45.65217391
11 = 47.82608696
With 6mm cable being rated at approx 34 amp and 10mm at 45 amp even an 8.5Kw unit is more than a 32A MCB can give. As a result they tend to trip from time to time. The more they are over loaded the weaker the trip gets and in time it gets to a point where it will not longer hold in with the load applied.
How does your shower compare with values given.
To change the MCB will likely allow you to continue using the shower. Don't be temped into using a bigger one as an over size MCB could cause cable to over heat. And you do not want a fire.
