I have a Halstead Eden CBX 32 boiler. The pressure had gone down to 0.5 bar and I repressurised it to 1.5 bar but over past couple of days it has risen to 2.5 bar. I know how to increase the pressure but how do I get it back down to 1.5?

You can bleed about 1-2 li from a rad bleed screw.

However you need to know why!

The filling loop may be leaking.

Or the expansion vessel may be failing or be failed!

Check over 24 hrs if the PRV is leaking by a bottle or bag tied over teh end.

Many thanks for your help. I gradually bled water from a radiator and the pressure has gone to about 1.5 bar and has remained at that setting for 24hrs. I haven't found any leaks in the system but I intend to have that checked out in the near future when a service is due
