2 of the radiators weren't working in my flat (out of 6), so I bled them both. Unfortunately, the flippin cap came off the second one and a load of manky water went onto the floor. After quickly closing off the cap (not sure if that's the correct term), I noticed that the pressure gauge on the Vaillant - either a thermomax plus or a thermo compact according to the literature - had gone to zero and now I'm out of hot water and central heating. Nightmare!
Asked a chap in central heating/DIY shop around the corner about filling the system to get the pressure back up and apparently I need to turn something with a screwdriver at the back underneath the boiler? I tried following the instructions in the literature, but nothing seems to be happening. Any thoughts?
