What is the maximum height (from hob) I could get away with for 600mm wide extractor fan/hood? The manufacturers recommendation is 600mm for an electric hob. However, having placed it in that position it appears far too low and doesnt look right. However, I don't want to place it too high that it makes the unit in-effective!
Any recommendations? |

1000m
(cooker is 850 high... lots of people are 1800 tall and shouldn't have to bang their heads on the hood as they lean over to look in the pans. |

Agreed,
Ours is as high as it needs to be so that I don't bang my head and it still works fine.
It's 1m90 ish so just over a metre above the worktop. |

also depends on the height of your ceiling, I had to adjust ours to allow for the Chimney Hood extractor. |
