Help Cental Heating not turning on but Hot Water is

Can anyone suggest what might be the problem.
My water turns on when the timer or on switch is flicked and on the same panel I have the switch for the central heating, when I normally turn this on you can hear the water running through the radiators but now there is no sound and no heat

please let me know how you get on with this, i am having exactly the same problem at the moment with mine and have not got a clue what is going on with it.

For you both, tell us as much as you can about the whole system you have. Start with the clock/timer, is there a room stat? Go to airing cupboard, check for pump, valve(s), if not there check around boiler and loft.

My boiler is shot - rain has been getting in the flue over the years. Moved in here in June. It's a new one for me, joy!
