I am having a kitchen installed with an electric powered plinth heater to allow base units to run across the wall where I presently have a radiator.

The kitchen installation company do not touch central heating systems and so will not remove the radiator.

The radiator has the usual lockshield valve and control valve on it.

What do I need to do? Do I just block off both valves with BSP soldered or compression fittings (end stops) and leave? Do I take the valves off and end stop the pipes? (this option would leave room for the base units to go against the wall) or do I need to join the two sections together with copper pipe to keep the flow going through this part of the system. icon_confused.gif
