I have a Baxi 105HE that had been working fine until a few weeks ago. I noticed that the central heating was turning off before my room got up to temperature and it has been getting worse and worse until it barely comes on any more. The hot water works perfectly, it is just the heating that is affected.

The boiler has a Towerstat RF/BM thermostat which I have tried resynching and changing channels but that has had no effect. Can I bypass the timer/thermostat to check that it is not this which is causing the problem before I spend any money calling an engineer or replacing the thermostat?

Thanks.

Yes. Link out the stat wires and turn on the boiler.....could be the central hating thermistor or a diverter issue.

Try linking out the stat first

Turn on the CH and whatch the boiler lights.
If they go on in sequence then suddenly go off its the CH thermistor.
Dont beleive it will be an outside influence if it still works intermittantly
