Hi
Up until 3 days ago worked perfectly.
Boiler lost all system pressure and locked out.
Was refilled, came online and operated normally for a day.
Now shows intermittant lockout on flame failure, fan apswitch and gv operting as they should. Only other clue to wierdness is a brief flash 'b1' error code - 'condensate trap blocked' condensate trap checked clearing freely. Condensate flood switch in on 2ndary HE - checked has correct resitance (550kohms)
Has anyone any other ideas - I am sick of buying pcbs and wonder if i have missed something - not played with many vokeras in the past.
cheers
Gareth

This is your first post on this forum.

Is this your own boiler at home?

Or is it a customers boiler? In which case are you gas registered?

Tony

i forget if the syntesi has the burner sensor on it. check that too if it does.

if you suspect the condensate sensor then put a resistor in its place, sounds like it wont be long before it proves it or not.

either that or phone vokera, they are usually very good on their own models. they will ask you for payment for the priviledge though.

It is a customers boiler. I am registered with gas safe.

The flame rectification is thru the spark electrode (cleaned and tested) Only other sensor on burner is an overheat stat mounted on the front of the burner ass'.
Seems to have held up today - if it goes out again i will replace the resistor on the 2ndary HE see if that helps.
It just seemed weird that after locking itself out for low sys pressure it started having a flame failure fault. Before that had behaved perfectly for it's 3 year life so far. Posted on here after googling and finding a bunch of plumbers who talk boiler in a forum, happy days.
Enjoy your friday eve gents

This is a general advice forum for members of the public and we cannot give advice on gas related matters.

For trade enquiries including gas you need to register for the Combustion Cahmber part of the site.

Send your name, address and gas registration AND licence number to admin@diynot.

It seems to be taking ages for people to get set up at the moment.

You can also get limited advice on the ARGI web site.

yeh i meant the overheat stat. ive had some weird stuff happen with those things. the last one even foxed the vokera rep.

you can give advice you just choose not to because you have your head up your a**e.

It seems you have gone back to your agressive and rude British Gas attitude. That must explain why you hide your identity!

I have to say that the last five BG people I have spoken to have been perfectly nice and polite so it seems you are in a minority!

Can I refer you to the link about not giving advice on gas on the general forum?
