Some interesting points there. Can't remember the name of that paradox about time travel (if you could change the past then you might not have subsequently come to exist in order to change it), but applied here it could lead to the curious situation where you could have travelled back and changed something, only to return to "current" time to realise that it hasn't actually changed jack-all. In short, you would have converged to your destiny. :idea:

I'd be more of the time travel will be pointless because the very fact that it happened, and we know about it, means that we didn't change it...and if we were involved in any way with it, we probably caused it.

Yeah, don't blame you. When i was at school me and my mate used to play a ' I saved your life' game, which meant that we'd explain to eachother how, even though we didn't do anything obvious, we had infact prevented or interrupted events that would lead logically to their death...
...mainly in maths lessons. They were pretty dull.
