no holmslaw I got that thanks I was Reading section 543.7 earthing of equipment with high protective current. Understood the earthing just couldn't think of an equipment example.

anything with a filter.. some inverters for example dump the harmonics to earth..

Is this topic, in fact, to be a long set of questions on random regulations which aren't clear to you?

If so, would you not find it easier to get a good book or two on the regs, as they will have been specifically written to explain them?
