I am refurbing an old house with a one pipe heating system. Can i connect a new 2 pipe circuit into it, if so where? does it have to be at the boiler? Eventually, it will all be replaced using a 2 pipe sys, but i need the old part to be retained for a while.
any help greatfully recieved,
thanks

Wrong answer Nige F

You could pipe the boiler as a two pipe system, (it already has 2 pipes  ) so not a lot of work there, connect the new radiators up as a two pipe system.

Next you reconnect the one pipe circuit, to form the loop between the flow and return, (think of it as a very big by-pass)

Problems, it needs careful planning in relation to the pump position.
