Have you guys ever fitted or come across an unvented hot water cylinder, but kept the f&e tank to feed circs and ch system. Got a customer who has pipes in concrete floors !!

This customer requires 20lts per min u see.

Yea not uncommon on retrofitted unvented.

Theres no reason you you cant do that as far as im aware.

do u mean you want to seal the c.h system but retain the feed & exp tank
????

All you're doing is replacing a direct gravity cylinder with an unvented cylinder keeping the coil in the UV open vented ............No problem.

No need ever to keep open vented central heating.
You have a cold main feeding the hot water tank and flow and return
to the unvented tank. So why do you have to stay vented?

Old systems , pipes buries in the screed , old servo warm systems ect ect

One might need to take this into consideration prior to sealing it up ??

Thanks guys, correct chaps. Pipes in concrete floors, I don't want to pressurise this system.

Might do it like this then.

Thanks

you could always use a plate exchanger ie seal up boiler or use a systems boiler on 1 side of the plate , keep the other side open vented !
