Is there a blowlamp as good as the Ronson Variflame?

Remember the Ronson? Small and large burners, a control knob that held its settings, steady at low-flame, didn't flare. Then the cartridges vanished... was it the EU idiots, or a family dispute, I never did find out.
Anyway... since then I've tried various new cartridge blowlamps, and I have a bigger torch that runs off a Calor cylinder, none of them is as good as the Ronson.
I do have a small refillable blowlamp for fine work, but that eats gas.

Any recommendations please, for a cartridge blowlamp that works properly?

Have you looked at the Rothenburge range of gas torches.
After the Ronson canisters ran out, I bought a Rothenburger, which was touted as the Ronson replacement at that time. No small nozzle, wouldn't idle, flaring, I think it went in the bin.
That was a good while ago, are they better now?

I have not had any problems with rothenburger gas torches, I use them in roofing but my make is a plumber and he rates them.

Yep, Rothenburger is the way to go, use them in all positions, brilliant...
