Large Oil Boiler - Condensing?

That link is laughable.lol
Farmers have always used red diesel in their equipment to grit and clear roads in rural areas. Nothing new.
Last big snow it was a lot more than just rural areas though.
The day when hrmc thinks they can impose a levy and force farmers to use taxed fuel then the roads can stay blocked. And thats basically what they were told in no uncertain terms.

What happened was the government seen a chance to collect some more revenue but the farmers union put a stop to it.

The link says nothing about red diesel being illegal in a household boiler.
Unless some boilers double as road vehicles. lol
Round my way you can buy good quality laundered diesel for half price for your vehicle.

I wouldn't disagree Norcon. I just posted up the link to point out to the hard of thinking that red derv is red derv. Around here, get caught running your vehicle on red derv & they confiscate it.......

Maybe when you gain your independence and the white English settlers who speak with forked tongue start to move south, you can use cheap fuel again?

Scotland will soon be powered 100% by renewables. Quite an achievement.

If the SNP Porage W.O.G.S get a Yes vote mate I'll be heading down south myself!!!
As for cheap fuel, the North Sea oil is becoming more & more uneconomic to extract & these daft Edinburgh rsoles are risking our kids & grandkid's future on the price of a barrel of crude. You couldn't make it up!!!!

South is over populated and soon their lights will be going out. In parts of it they are using boats for transport also.
I'd head West quicker.

Do any of you think that the fella who wants the new boiler gives a flying turd about the similarities in fuels?

Will bow to greater knowledge of others on oil as it is out of my range, but we have a bit of a mission on at the moment with a large rural place where the need to change the 80kW boiler in the cellar is proving to be fun.... seems most boiler companies are either scared of talking more than 36kW or not interested unless you substitute the k with an M.

Mind you there are some limitations with the building that aggravate the problem.

For fooks sake it's only a couple of new boilers needed. Give us your number and I'll do something for you like this. Weather comp, condensing & all the other bells & whistles you could need. Also used the existing chimney for a combined flue.

Will revisit that particular install thread in a few weeks when the dust settles from the other shenanigans I'm enjoying at the moment...

See the CC for some EV valves you might enjoy...

I love the sh.te auto air valve on top of the boilers, they'll last two months tops!!...... :D

Pity, cause it spoils an otherwise nice install. Oh, and can anyone spot the obvious mistake......
Happy hunting!!!

Far from it mate, it's you that doesn't know your fuel, red derv can only legally be used on agricultural vehicles. Read this link & apology excepted;
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/news/changes-red-diesel.htm

According to you then, everyone who uses gasoil (red diesel) is breaking the law then?

I have explained to you what DERV is.

Gasoil is a heating fuel, red derv is a subsidised fuel used in agricultural vehicles. Try to keep up dear boy.
