any reason why the emojis from iOS don't appear like they used to.

It's a pita using the forum ones

So with the old forum you could insert smilies provided by the operating system of your device?

Ok so just typed in 250 emojis above and these are the only ones that show up

They are images, not keystrokes.

Well I didn't draw them did I

They are images, not keystrokes.

There are codes you can type to do them. I do this most of the time.

You could always just click on the smilie face in the post box.

Methinks you need to realise that there is a difference between the images you have available on your crApple gear and those that are installed into the forum.

Also that windiings font codes are not emoji's and still may not work if the forum is not setup to allow them.
And heck why would it - it should only allow those that are installed into the forum software otherwise they may end up not being shown correctly.
