Shouldn't there be an...

My Regin pump has the in built N/O2 4 stage blending valve fitted so I leave the mixture control to that. It's calibrated every 3 months to achieve the optimum blend. I had to have a special canister attachment made to allow an extra bottle to be fitted. This introduces a dab of Ar and CO. I believe that this helps the N and O2 to achieve a stability that will allow for a better and more progressive rate of expansion as opposed to just air.

Not cheap though, the pump cost £168 and the calibrations and refills are £84 a pop hence why I charge a premium to swap the gases over. Customer is always impressed with the overall long term benefits it provides though.

I also exchange the Shrader valve insert to a specialised one for this mixture. They look the same but can withstand the new mixture better and would only need replacing once every two years instead of yearly.

If your AR and CO bottle ran out during a visit and you had to go out to get another, how much would you charge on top??

Ps am I pushing it:ROFLMAO:

Pushing what?

I normally carry a spare as i do with almost everything ever made so I only have to do one visit but if it did happen then I would only charge a nominal fee, probably about £25 or something.

Pushing the new ban on not talking about prices unless you have Tony's log on credentials.

The mods will come and threaten you with the Ban hammer.

£25 seems a fair price!
Just wanted to make sure you weren't one of this other rgi's that would be looking to rip the customer off.

Ssshhhhh I was being flipant! and I gave a rough price for picking it up. It would never happen though as I would always call first and then I would know everything that I need to take with me.

If you do become a wizard let me know I'm on the look for a Mary popins type bottomless bag but in rucksack format, don't wanna lock weird with a handbag in the bus!

Nah - too late. I think I'm going to have to report you.

A - for pricing something at £84.... that's just copying.

B - being an inferior engineer.

A - I didn't price that thats what I get charged to calibrate my Regin T100 pump. I can't control that!!

B - I'm only inferior in your head as I do this part time. I have a decent pension and do this as a hobby to help people out that are being charged stupid money for inferior work! Oh and to meet birds!!
