Hi all I am new here but here's the problem .
I have a 1991 Worcester 350 rsf combi, NG.. I know its ancient but I wont give up on it yet !

The boiler won't ignite (CH or HW) because the fan at the top isn't kicking in.
I have checked the voltage to the fan and its zero

I have gone through the troubleshooting procedure with a test meter and its telling me at the end to replace the main board.
I am pretty confident that this is the correct prognosis but I need to be sure before I splash out on a service exchange board.

Is there anything I might have missed in trying to remedy this problem before I go any further ???
Any help here would be very much appreciated
Thanks all.

I have a spare new fan for that model somewhere in my stock.

Was thinking there might be an opportunity for me to sell it.

Hi there.. I appreciate your offer, but as stated in the post there is no voltage going to the fan :-)

Send your diagnosis fee to Agile considering he missed the bit about "no voltage to fan"..(y)

Of course I had noticed that he had no voltage.

That's why I said that I "was" thinking there might be an opportunity to sell it.

Otherwise I would have sent him a PM and offered the fan. We are not expected to sell bits on here. That's what Ebay is for.

Why would you offer the fan?...possibly a parts changer??

i thought he never offered parts as he uses them for his full diary of customers :) . plus offering to sell parts on miss guidance :sneaky:

I bought it for stock when I was looking after three of them.

But that was a while ago and not expecting to ever have another customer with a failed one again. They are so old!

You looked after only 3 of a boiler, and you buy a fan, just in case? Are you mad?. The warranty deteriorates for you but not your (possibly eventual) punter.

When I did a LOT of repairs, my van was stacked with common generic gear, and I did carry one specific fan, but I used at least one every couple of months, as they were fitted on a massive estate and were a regular breakdown.
