Hello all.
I am planning on laying some loft insulation soon. I have bought 100mm base layer, but when it's rolled up it doesn't look 100mm to me, much thinner.
I don't think it expands as you open it, so the question I have is the 100mm a guide as to what the insulation is rated at, or is it meant to be literal, as in actually 100m thick?
Surely it's the former, because if the recommended amount is 270mm in your loft that would easily block the ventilation path on the eaves because of the height?
Thanks for any help.
