Now.. dunno about you but I often sit down sometimes on the throne actually and think about design or engineering solutions.

Always interesting to hear how you would resolve or fix so I can patent it ;) no seriously. Anyway one I have had issues with lately is making an angle grinder proof chain.

Some ideas.

Hollow insert with flammable gas which explodes large ink cartridge.
Some sort of fibre/resin which glazes the cutting blade preventing cutting.
Spinning roating sleeves which cannot be cut easily.

How would you design an angle grinder proof chain? Ok proof I say takes at least 10minutes to cut or deters said parasite.

Yeah alright smarty pants, i guess that would work but somewhat impractical? :p

Would something like the chainsaw trousers work that has the fibres in to lock the chain up?

Making a practical cable or chain that can't be cut with a grinding disc or diamond wheel on an angle grinder is a tall order. The paradox is that in order to work with a material, someone has to come up with a way to cut and machine it, thus the same means used to produce it can be used to defeat it.
Best security method is don't use a chain to secure valuables. Guard your valuables or lock them up in a secure room.

Heres an invention I would like: real tasty food thats good for you.

Like bacon (y)

Not like Quorn sausages

Magnesium chain. At least you’ll set fire to the thief when his grinder starts cutting.

what about encasing the chain in overlapping rings which will rotate ?

I thought of a travel tooth brush with built in toothpaste in the handle and a hollow flexi head. Squeeze the handle and the paste flows.
