Hi
Had an ideal logic C30 installed a couple of months back, and put in a nest 3rd gen controller, which has all worked flawlessly (after tinkering with the smart features)
My boiler is installed in the basement, and the controller is screwed into the brick work next to the boiler, and the thermostat in the living room.
I'm currently boarding out the basement, and require to remove the controller and mount it on the new plasterboard wall when I put it up.
So today, I had a look, and noticed I require a slightly longer cable, as the current one will be too short if I want to keep to the same distance. So I opened up the cover to the controller, to see if it was 1mm or 1.5 mm cable installed already. As I put the cover back on, I accidentally touched the button on the controller and the heating kicked in, so quickly pressed it again to turn it off.
Then I opened up the cover of the boiler, to see where it's routed to the board inside, and then closed it, and went off.
Ran a bath, which worked fine, then after that, switched the heating on via the app, and it displayed "heating" but nothing was happening.
So went down to take a look, and the boiler was displaying 00.
So turned the hearing down via the app, and back on again, by doing this, I could hear the nest controller click off/on. And had a solid green light showing.
So reset the boiler via the button, and the same thing.
Powered off the boiler via the fused spur for 1 minute, and still the same. Nest controller clicks, but nothing!
Tested the supply to be sure, and getting 240v.
Tested across the N/O contact and it's switching as it's supposed to.
BUT, I thought I'd test between contact 2 and earth, and the boiler then kicked in??????
Does anyone know what's happened here?
Thanks
