As I know what it means; with a clear conscience I can cheer Chelsea's black players on tonight describing them as coons, because they are entertaining a majority white crowd.

I do see it and find it strange that this day and age a word like this is acceptable. But we are living in strange times.

Indeed. The thing is words get hijacked for some reason and then get banned. It's not the word that is offensive, it's peoples perceived belief that it IS offensive that gets it banned. Faggot is a prime example. Maybe if we used Lineker as a derogatory word, it might get banned.
