I am looking for a flat piece to make a 600mm disk out of, not expensive.

this is backing for a garden clock, the one I bought is a "skeleton" with hands and chapter ring but no dial, so not easy to see on a brick wall.

I think perspex or PVC as used on plastic doors, or a bath panel, would do, it has to withstand weather but will not be under any load.

Laminated chipboard would not do as it is exposed to storms.

Any suggestions please?

Find a local sign manufacturer, they use a sandwich material of very thin painted alloy on each face, with plastic in the middle, around 4mm total thickness. They just dump offcuts, I scrounged a door sized sheet of the small door of my garage for free. They also use various sheet perspex and plastics.

Yes as Harry suggests use signwriters 'foam board', light and durable and dirt cheap, I've used a company called Trent plastics in the past or find a local firm and pop in, something the size you need would be an off cut just laying around

Thanks, that sort of thing would do, but not as cheap as I hoped.

A piece of tile backer board is pretty impervious to weather and is relatively cheap, then you could paint it.
