Hi, does anyone know why my toilet makes a weird noise when flushing? I have an old style toilet. Are there any issues with the pipes?

Yes, it’s a bit drastic changing a toilet for a washer, or worse case a new float valve.

It is in the unit in the bottom right hand corner of your photo, where cold water goes in. Simple check - try flushing, but holding the arm up on the unit, if it makes no noise until the arm is released, then it is the fill valve.

It is a vibrating noise. Sometimes I also get a knocking noise.

That will probably be the flush pipe, which possibly needs reseating - The large plastic pipe, with a right angle, which goes into the rear of the toilet.
