Surely the number of cases is meaningless unless you know how many people were tested?

Eg Jan 1: 5000 people were tested and 50 "cases" were found.
Mar 1: 30000 people were tested and 300 "cases" were found.

PANIC! Number of "cases" rises six-fold! Oh my giddy aunt.

There are test centres popping up everywhere so of course the number of "cases" will increase.

I don't usually participate in this rubbish, but I had to point out the obvious.

The numbers of tests being run have been decreasing since June. And it's well down on the start of the year. So, obviously, by your logic there's even more than the numbers imply.

That the current number of cases is an underestimate as fewer people are getting tested? And that the positive rate is the highest it has been since wave 2? No, it tends to get lost amongst the idiots saying that cases are dropping.
