Getting sticker residue off a placemat

Scraped most off with plastic scraper but still some sticky residue left. What's best way to remove it?

Leaves no residue , best solution.

Goo gone gel but I suspect it is very similar to WD40.

What have you got?

Wd40, white spirit. No lighter fluid. It's a placemat for food so I guess once used them wiped with a wet cloth it should be safe to eat off
