With Delta we have a highly infectious variant. With Vaccination the risk from Delta is pretty low. As Delta is running riot it tops up the protection from vaccination, or gives some protection each time it fails to kill you. Which makes it harder for a new variant to spread.

A new variant that avoids that immunity, from both vaccination and from Delta, would be catastrophic, but it is fairly unlikely to avoid all the protection. At that point it'd probably be different enough to count as SARS3.

Maybe we should look at the opinion of the person who helped create the 'Oxford Jab'?

Why do you doubt the existence of the 'Oxford jab'?

But since 'youngsters' haven't been able to get the jab, why is it necessary now?

Are you now doubting the existence of 'youngsters'?

You are simply trying to wind people up, which is trolling.

Prioritisation. Virus control.

Stage 1 - protect as many people with social isolation, masks etc.
Stage 2 - vaccinate the most vulnerable to reduce deaths
Stage 3 - vaccinate front line works to stop spread during lockdown
Stage 4 - vaccinate the rest of the population to help stop the spread, and eventually eradicate the virus

It's not rocket science.

Children are recommended flu vaccines for the same reason. Nobody seems to have got their knickers in a twist about this though.

F#ck me upside down!
I'm not giving you another lesson in English language, Scarlett.
It's not meant to be taken all LITERALLY!
You sometimes refers to people in general, not YOU.
So if you were having a conversation with someone, IRL, face to face, and in an immediate reply to something he said to you, you looked him in the face and said "You....", you wouldnt be referring to him?

I dont think it is I who needs lessons in how to communicate.

As expected, returning large numbers of youngsters to mill around together has upped infections

"Covid cases among England’s schoolchildren hit record peak

Steep jump in infections raises spectre of further educational disruption

New cases among 5 to 14-years-olds increased by 80 per cent week-on-week to 811 per 100,000 in the period ending September 19"

though i don't think the Adult cases have shot up to the same extent yet.

maybe because so many adults are vaccinated

but

"The steep jump in Covid infections among children has been followed by an uptick in cases affecting people aged 30 to 49 — their parents’ generation — which now stand at 286 per 100,000, having grown by 7 per cent in the past four days."

Pretty much what happened in Scotland, so hardly a surprise.

It should be noted though, that the chart shows the numbers were going up before schools returned.

Couldn’t make it up regarding your last comment there lol
Since Johnny did make it up, you're continuing your run of being wrong.

Nothing in the snippet of interview included says that vaccines aren't awesome, or anything particularly controversial about vaccines.

What on earth are you talking about.
Jonny making up what?
What exactly am i wrong about in my comment to Johnny?
There is no run or being wrong and neither did I watch the interview.
I was referring to the comment regarding the inventors.

I already explained to you on another thread how the English language and conversations work.
You want to take every word literally.
So when I say "f#ck me upside down" you seriously think I'm asking you to do that.
Is that how French works?

Anyone even raising questions about the covid vaccine is a charlatan, including the very people who invented it.

Which inventors are you referring to? And it isn't "it" either, there are several covid vaccines in use and being developed. Unless the "it" is plural in your version of the English language of course.

Go back on previous posts.
They were talking about the Oxford vaccine, hence "it", Professor Details.

God, it's like trying to explain the plot of Inception to a bullfrog.
