Can I plasterboard over this external window?

Hello,

I have a window in my conservatory looking directly at my neighbours fence.

I am having the whole room plaster boarded, so I’ve taken off the window seal and plan to put some insulation in front of the window and then plasterboard over it. Open to suggestions on how to do this.

I’d like to keep the window there, so removing it isn’t a an option.

Would the above be ok? Can it cause any issues? If so, I’d rather do it another way now than have to pull down the plasterboards at a later date.

Also, would insulation type would be best here?

I have a small window looking out onto my back garden. Previous owners divided the kitchen to provide a utility room next to the kitchen and put the dividing wall directly in line with this small window. If you look in from the garden, all you see is the reverse of the plasterboard. Thankfully they have fitted a frosted window in it so it doesn't stand out.

I’m concerned about condensation forming between the the plasterboard and the internal side of the window

If it’s sealed space where’s the moisture coming from to cause condensation ?

Even in this cold weather there is no sign of condensation. It may be different if the seal on the DG fails at some time in the future, but until then, I'll leave it as it is. We have lived here for eight years now without any problems. No idea how long before that it was done.

Why don't you've just remove window and brick up.
