Hello

Advise needed please...

Got the old single pipe system thru our home, recently replaced the boiler and hot water pump, plus power flushed but the rads are worse than they were before!

Would a stronger pump help to push the water (convection) they the system and rads?

Would it help to install a second pump on the system somewhere?

What do high-valves do? Would those help?

Any advice appreciated please.

Kind regards

H

Modern boilers and one pipe systems can be problematic,a higher power pump can be making it worse ,modern style radiators and valves are also not designed for a one pipe,Advise you get the installer back to advise.

Thanks. We haven't changed any rads or valves, that might have to happen if and when we changed to a two pipe system.

If the pump is higher power, how does it make the heating worse? Thought it would have helped to push the water down the system?

Any idea of old boiler and pump make/model. What make/model of new boiler and make/model od new pump and what is its present mode/setting, does it display the power in watts, W, or any other info?.

Hi John

Separate, strangely in my sons wardrobe where the pipes come up from the boiler in the kitchen and then distribute upstairs and down which includes pipes to the hot cylinder tank.

Can you get the make/model and a photo of any LEDs while running, some of these (if) A rated pumps show the power in watts,W and additionally some show the pump head in meters, M and the flowrate in m3/hr.
