I have a small leak from my shower trap see attached photo {arrowed}. Can this part of the trap be dismantled and reassembled? It doesn't have any rased ribs like the fitting that can be tightened. If I need to replace the trap is it a easy job. Looking at how it has been fitted, it would appear that it has been plastered with sealant and stuck to the bottom of the shower try. As with most shower trays accessibility to remove the silicone would not be easy.

The part leaking is a ball joint for directional adjustment.
It's assembled in the factory and not serviceable.
You could try smearing LSX around it (let fully dry out first) but likely requires replacement.

Thank you for your quick reply and explaining what part of the trap is leaking. Can you please explain, what is LSX, I have seen a leak tape is this a similar product.

Best to do the job properly first time for peace of mind. Put a new trap in....
