US and Israel seek to expel Palestinians from Palestine...

I abandoned religion as a teenager but still tend to think of myself as a Christian for some strange reason, the Ten Commandments are a reasonable code for life in my opinion.

I've never killed anyone, the other nine commandments, well, it's a bit sketchy, but that doesn't make me a bad person.

Oh **** off Vinty, up until the 70's even the Arabs born in what we know as the West Bank referred to themselves as 'Jordanians' and the Arabs born in Gaza referred to themselves as 'Egyptians', because that's what they were.
There really is no such place as Palestine, it's all in your head.
It doesn't matter what these people called themselves.
Palestine existed, why did the British issue Palestinian passports and Palestinian currency if Palestine never existed.
Show an Israeli passport before 1948.

Has there ever been a sovereign state called 'Palestine'?
Yes.

But I'm guessing from your avatar that your position aligns with that of one of the 25% of the UN member states who refuse to accept it.

First of all you wrote Syrian. Then you deleted it. Then you wrote Christian. Then you added Jewish. Any muslim though? That was my question. And also, what muslim connections?
I said yes, in "I have"
Syrian but it doesn't affect the answer. And it doesn't matter what you call yourself.

The Balfour Declaration was signed in 1917. It set out British support for the creation of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine.
Palestine is not a soveriegn state and was created by both the English and the `French.

The Nicene Creed is a better definiton of what Christians believe.

Being opposed to murder and other antisocial activities is not a differentiator of any particular religion or of none.

Jesus gave a better rule of what Christians should do, than the Jewish laws.
The Nicene Creed, decided in order to end the Arian Controversy, was a stich-up - all the bishops opposed to the motion were locked out of the conclave and Church Doctrine was decided 'for ever and anon' by those safely gathered indoors. Saint Hypatia was killed by a mob, her flesh stripped from her bones with oyster shells, inflamed by the religious and political tensions of the time. Emperor Constantine was unavailable for comment.

The problem with the Bible is the same as all documents 'set in stone': adherents cannot reconcile a text written in different times by people who couldn't begin to imagine the affect their words would have on future generations.
The American constitution is another example whereby devout Republicans cling to the words of their Founding Fathers as though a religious committment has been made, when the opposite is true - they wanted to seperate Church from State after their bitter experience of Civil and religious wars during the 16-17th centuries which decimated Europe. Now they use the Constitution to justify a return to a state ruled through religious dogma.

Republicans wang on about Freedom of Speech but their actions speak louder than words...Trumps' move to silence pro-democracy media sparks outrage as Voice of America and Radio Free Europe among outlets forced to make cuts as U.S. seeks to curtail funding.

The decision “will ensure that taxpayers are no longer on the hook for radical propaganda,” the White House said in a statement on Saturday.

Journalism across the world has never been under a threat like this from the very democracy that's enshrined to uphold their inviolate rights.
