Hi all.

As seen on the picture, I inherited a couple of leaning concrete posts. Apart from the fact that they are leaning, they are also a bit unsightly, but other than that very useful - serving as a support for laundry lines.

I wanted to ask your advice on the following :
1. Is it worth fixing it /keeping it?
2. If yes, would it be feasible for me without heavy machinery to get them back to perfectly (ish) vertical position?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a handy winch and a suitable thing to take the winch forces you could haul them up and then compact/re-concrete in new position. If you don't then you are probably best doing Wayner's thing...which may or may not be awful lot of work. If its all solid maybe just leave wonky and a feature - like that tower in Italy.

:-))) No handy winch sadly. Leaning tower or digging around it is.

They look like wood, not concrete. In which case they're probably rotten at the bottom and need replacing, possibly including the others.

Looking at the state of the panel to the left of centre in your photo, it's probably all rotten and just needs complete renewal.

Thank you, but most definitely concrete.

Its the washing line post not the fence posts.
