That 'report' isn't worth the paper it’s written on. Whenever you see a grooming gang caught, there’s at least half a dozen individuals, often more. That’s most peoples idea, including mine, of a grooming gang. The report defines a group based/network (grooming gang) as basically just "two or more individuals that are known to each other". That’s not a 'grooming gang' in anyone’s book unless like noseall they want to use pure statistics to prove a false point.

Baroness Casey has said that his report is not a true reflection of the perpetrators. In many cases race is not recorded.

It might depend on how they define "grooming gangs" for the inquiry.

I remember when we had this topic a few months ago, and I was Googling, it seemed that there are often different patterns to child sexual abuse carried out by different demographics. The great majority of the groups who carry out child sex abuse are white men. But they are the more traditional British paedophile rings, and they often abuse much younger children, often in unbelievably horrific ways. The "grooming" of teenage girls on the street is mainly done by Asian men.

It's quite obvious that none of you understand the data or the reports that you rely on, with your "its all white British men". I'm not interested in arguing for 100 pages... but you really do need to thoroughly read the data that you are relying on.

Ak yourself:
- why would police NFA rape of an underage child?
- Why would such a rape result in discharge or caution?
- What do indecent image distribution offences have to do with grooming gangs?
- Do I understand what distribution of an indecent image is?

The police and courts are not in the habit of NFAing, cautioning or discharging serious grooming gang offences, so why would you lump these in with many thousands of less serious CSA/CSE offences? To hide the demographics perhaps or just sloppy work?

I tried unsuccessfully to explain this last time. If the majority of the data in your sample is irrelevant, the stats you produce will be too.

Just saw Casey and Chemi doing their respective bits on TV. Every confidence that Louise will deliver a thorough report, but doubt that the govt will implement all the recommendations. They didn't bother to do so with the Jay report. A lot of it is the incompetence/ under staffing of Plod or IT systems that are inadequate or don't talk to each other when sharing info. But improving IT doesn't get votes in what has become a political football that re form, with their complete lack of a track record, will benefit from.
