Watched a clip on the news last night of 20 or so French police standing there, arms folded, as the migrants waded into the sea and onto waiting boats. The news guy asked one of the police what he thought UK folk would make of the scene i.e. them just standing there. As you say, he said along the lines of 'when we have the authority to enter the water this will change.'

We'll see ...

What an absolute farce all of this is. As others have touched on, if the gangs have changed their approach, why don't the French authorities? Have more boats patrolling that can intercept the inflatables and render them unusable.

No, it's called facts ;)

I'll say again, why not house them in the top 100 postcode areas across the UK based on property value. Then we'll see how happy people are with the influx.
