and their supporters, a fair few ordinary Palestinians were involved in it too.
And more than a few United Nations employees were involved it.

Indeed. Maybe the British press feel somewhat responsible, seeing that it was British policy to divide up the land in the fisrt place. But then it was a US policy to resettle so many Jews in Israel, and push the idea that it is God's will that the whole region is for Jews only.It is an interesting question, though, as to why this particular conflict gets so much attention. I think the anti-Semitism argument is sad, twisted logic. But what are the real reasons. Is it because Gaza is such a small enclosed area with nowhere for the population to escape to. Is it the sight of the world's most high tech armed forces bombing unarmed civilians back to the stone age. My gut feeling is that it is most likely a combination of these factors and more.
Regime change is probably the only long-term hope for Israel - get Benjamin Netanyahu out and replace with somebody who actually respects Palestinians. If you are going to deny an ancient nation its freedom and claim them and their land as your own, then you need to bloody well treat them with respect and look after them, not cage them, burn their homes and continue to take their lives and cultures away from them.
The land they have stolen, is not their land.Israel should surrender and give up their land.

Your words. Not what I said or meant. So basically, Israel should surrender and give up their land.
OK
Who voted them into power? No, that was Hamas.
Older Palestinians in Gaza, in 2006. A population that makes up around 15% of the population of gaza. After all no one under the age of around 36 has been able to vote.Who voted them into power?

A simple sollution to all of this would be for Palestinians to become Jewish. Or live in Israel as Palestinians. End of war. I should be a politician.

So when people claim they hate what Israel is doing, it isn't anti Jewish? Thank you.1.5 million Arabs, mainly Palestinian but also Drews and Bedouin do live in Israel as Israeli Arab Citizens. Quite a few Palestinians serve in the IDF.
The IDF has a unit called Gadsar which comprises 500 Arab Israelis, mainly Palestinians, and they've operated in the West Bank. This article about them is almost 10 years old.
