Are the border force and the RNLI losing their touch?

Are some of you listening to yourselves before you type?

I'm all for MUCH tougher migration/immigration controls including the small boats, as my posts in other threads will back up.

However, some are suggesting things like leaving the boats completely and if some sink, that will be a deterrent. In reality, it may well be. However, is that the sort of country we want to become? Is that the sort of society we want to be?

What would RNLI think of such a strategy. Perhaps seeing a small boat gradually sink within sight of their station, however they've been instructed by the government not to intervene. Mind you, that will no doubt become a proposed strategy by Reform if they gain power.

Of course, based on individual RNLI crew members, the law of averages tells us some of them might indeed support such a strategy, albeit they might not say so out loud. However I suspect the majority, possibly the high majority, would be disgusted at such a proposal.

There again, maybe Reform if they gain power, will mandate that any RNLI crew member must sign an agreement to such a strategy or leave the organisation. Ah yes, an RNLI manned by Reform and Yaxley-Lennon supporters, how magnificent (not) that would be.

Look, a small sailing boat in trouble, should we help?
Nah.
Eh? Why not?
They're not white.
So?
Not white mate, possibly not British. We've to leave 'em be.
But, they'll die!
Thems the rules mate, thems the rules.

Here's a question to ask yourself, although of course you don't need to answer here. Imagine yourself standing on the beach watching a small boat of migrants, the boat's in trouble and is sinking. It has mainly men on board, but also a sprinkling of women and children.

It sinks. All souls lost.

What do you feel on seeing that? Your answer tells you something about the sort of person you are.

Or imagine being on the beach with your wife and children.....

Mrs Pete... if we go we might drown, they might not help us what you reckon...

Pete....we wont risk it we are safe here...

That's what garbage and his deform disciples want...

Although the UK has been well on the way to their particular vision of the future for while...

Since their recruitment tactics simply tap into a sea of existing prejudices ;)

I am sure if anybody on this forum came across somebody collapsed on the street, they would go and help, whatever the persons ethnicity

I am sure the vast majority of people on here are decent people who would choose to help others if they could (edit: even KoolPC, underneath the fur he is a decent chap)

the debate around asylum seekers dehumanises them, so people no longer see them as human beings.

They need to be stopped on the beaches of France. Stopped from getting in the boats. Something needs to be done......

They are picked up

A) because it stops them arriving on our shores and possibly disappearing

Total balls. They're not held in secure dention centres - just left to roam and intimidate locals. They can disappear any time they want after they arrive here. Though if they do disappear, they won't get their 4* hotels.

Better that most (if not all) are intercepted and known about?

Shocking that our systems don't act faster and better once they know who these people are, but that's been an issue for many years and previous governments, but a lot of people were not so bothered then.

Is it now an anti Labour issue more than a real immigration issue.

And to be clear, it's annoying that it needs to be pointed out, but that's because of the easily led that don't think things through. I am NOT in favour of people arriving by boats etc. I fully support faster better processing and deportations where relevant. And I want more and better processing and deportation.

But I don't want deaths, of anybody, for any reason.
