I know you don't know anything about boats, but a little tip... when you see a line from the pointy bit at the front, running in to the sea at about 45 degrees. It's an anchor chain. That bit connects the boat to the anchor at the bottom of the sea. When the anchor is at the bottom of the sea, the boat isn't going anywhere, assuming you remembered to attach the other end.

There is a photo titled "Gaza flotilla sails again.." yeah thats an anchorage and the boats are anchored. The photo saying "47 greek boats join the flotilla" thats a town quay and the 47 boats are their neighbours who have parked next to them.

its a bit like going to Tesco and saying 1,000 people have joined me... because they also parked in the car park.

A Quick Look on Marine traffic shows all two boats slowly moving SE and nobody else (other than commercial shipping).
