The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland has been targeted by protesters since early June, sometimes leading to violent clashes.
As of 8 September, the US Attorney's Office had brought federal charges against 26 people for crimes including arson, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
The DHS said on Friday that demonstrators had "repeatedly attacked and laid siege to an ICE processing centre" in Portland.
The department stated that several individuals had been arrested and charged with federal offences in a post on social media.
"Rose City Antifa, a recently designated domestic terrorist organisation, illegally doxed ICE officers," it wrote.
"They published their home address online and on public flyers. Individuals associated with Antifa also sent death threats to DHS personnel."

It appears some of them might just be proud boys,
Most of the people they catch are just ordinary people who work hard making money for the American economy.
And pushing women about without thought, some quite sickening recordings with children screaming in the background seeing their parents maltreated very roughly. Compares that to Trump and escalator- anyone else would have not batted an eyelid, just walk up and not start rolling out the heavy ammunition at unknown person .
No: logic and reason didn't get him to POTUS in the first place, so facts and (the lack of) integrity won't get him booted out either.

What's ironic is this. If it became known within Trump's inner circle that he was failing to an extent that should be raised, I am 100% confident they would do as Biden's camp did. Nothing to see here, move along, he's fine. Who knows, behind the scenes, they would maybe even start the occasional use of the auto pen
