She said what they were saying was false --- calling them liars in other words - and according to the women themselves who it was aimed at - they certainly felt that they were being called liars, considering what they went through with institutions not believing them at the time - this really must be sickening for them.
Phillips is just trying to keep her job either now or she is looking over her shoulder at all of those that heckled her during her election announcement.

The resignation of some of the survivors is just a disagreement within the ranks over the term of reference of the enquiry.
The four who have resigned want the enquiry to concentrate on their particular type of abuse.

She says she decided to withdraw yesterday "after seeing the direction the inquiry was taking".
She describes her disappointment by what she sees as the inquiry taking a "broader focus", adding that the issue of grooming gangs "deserves to stand alone and be addressed with the seriousness it warrants".

Why do some not want a UK wide enquiry into sexual abuse?
Are they afraid of what they might find? Or do they want to concentrate only on areas with higher populations of minorities?
