Dear all,

My boiler is about 10 years old and recently it started to do an intermittent vibrating noise when running the central heating.
A chap came and cleaned up and serviced it but the noise has come back the same day. They have quoted me £230 to install a new gas valve and replacing the fan bearing plate. They have also suggest to replace the filter with a total of £330 (In Portsmouth). Would like some advice on whether this sound reasonable or not.

Yes a Worcester. The vibration comes from inside the boiler. It happens after a few minutes running the heating. The vibration starts 0 to 10 and it stops abruptly and then after 50 seconds again
