Would the pile driven foundations have been any cheaper?
No. Not even close. £20k might buy you the 3/4's of the piles and ring beam if you are lucky.

We did a test dig about a month prior. There was 1.5m of made up ground on the site (an old dairy) . I thought it manageable with a 3 tonne machine, one we removed the oversite material. The risk of trench collapse was high. Fortunately, we didn't have a spot of rain whilst doing the excavations and pour.

Nice looking job though. I think 60k is probably well worth the expense as the house will probably warrant it.

He replies without knowing what he is replying to. Just posts negative comments then calls you uneducated, its a pattern.

You won't be able to find one post anywhere on this site where I've called anybody "uneducated".

Well in which "words" then?

You say "its a pattern" which must mean you've seen it a lot of times, so it can't be hard for you to say which words I use.

You are very patronising when you lose an argument, you then resort to personal insults and so it goes on. Wasn't so long back that I took you to church over something, I cannot even remember what it was now but you turned very nasty as I recall.
