Firstly, I'm not sure if I agree with "apart from a few idiots". Even if not every protest results in violence there seems to always be a non-few cohort of protesters with a fundamentally violent nature.

Secondly, there are two facets of "approve".

Do you approve of peaceful protests ?

Regarding the protests you're talking about, do I approve of the motives, do I approve of the beliefs of the protestors?

No.


Providing the protests remain peaceful, providing they don't incite hatred or violence, providing they don't aim to instill fear, then do I approve of the idea that they should be allowed?

Yes..

Unlike some people here, I don't believe that the way to deal with those whose views I disagree with should be to have them silenced.

I’ve seen the flag shaggers close at hand in Copthorne, they are lager swilling Neanderthals…..the sort of intelligence one expects from a Reform supporter
