Regime survival ???

Analysis in NYT and WP says the opposite i.e. that giving up everything would be the end of the Mullahs. But they don't go on to explain their reasoning, which is extremely frustrating. But the upshot they say is that if Trump insists on no ballistic missiles and no proxies, then the Mullahs would rather take a beating and then regroup. They say the most the Mullahs will offer is a guarantee of no nuclear weapons and to be part of a regional uranium enrichment programme.

AKA O'bamas deal

AKA O'bamas deal

No, the Obama deal merely delayed Iranian weapons by a maximum of 8 years and freed up $150 billion with the complete lifting of sanctions, at least some of which was used to fund Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. It also agreed to leave the Iranians with 6000 centrifuges.
It really was a shocking deal, even the EU who helped with the deal admitted it could have been a lot better.

Trumps deal will only partially relieve sanctions, the nuclear and weapons aspect also the funding of proxies, will apply, in the words of Demis Roussos, forever and ever and ever.

As said the mad mullers sole interest is regime survival at any cost

Many people of various ethnicities are Jews.

Try again.
Jewish people is an ethnoreligious group. You're conflating Judaism with Jewishness, or with Israeli citizenship.
To be a Jew you have to demonstrate lineage.
Under traditional Jewish law (Halakha), yes, you must trace an unbroken maternal line to be considered Jewish by birth.
Anti-Semitism = hostility to or prejudice against Jewish people.
Yes, you can adopt many Jewish practices (such as keeping kosher, celebrating holidays, or studying Torah) without being Jewish, but you cannot technically "be" a practitioner of the religion of Judaism—which is tied to a specific peoplehood, i.e. ethnicity. (peoplehood = the fact or state of being a community of people of shared race or nationality)
adopting Israeli citizenship does not automatically make someone a Jew.

I think we were talking about Iran.
14+ Countries Join Case: At least 14 countries have joined or signaled their intention to join South Africa's genocide case against Israel
In addition to the ICJ case, a UN-backed commission of inquiry has concluded that Israeli authorities are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity
The 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the 22-member Arab League have both supported the ICJ case. Furthermore, 31 Arab and Islamic nations released a joint statement in August 2025 accusing Israel of "crimes of aggression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing"
Several countries have downgraded or severed diplomatic relations with Israel over its conduct
In May 2024, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) requested arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and then-Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The western countries that are content to continue selling weapons to Israel have been reticent to join such condemnation of Israel. I wonder why.
Israel is the pariah state of the Middle East.

The demands don't seem entirely unreasonable to me.

Cast iron guarantee no nuclear weapons.

No more funding proxies. Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis to attack Israel and foment unrest on a global scale.

Halt the ballistic missile programme.

Bear in mind Iran have openly stated that they will use these weapons to destroy Israel.
How about a reference to Israel to stop bombing their neighbours?
Nope? I didn't think so.

Not something I claim, not something I believe.
Since when have you been the official spokesperson for the Jewish diaspora?
The claim that Jews are direct descendants of Abraham is primarily rooted in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and traditional Jewish belief, which traces the lineage through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob (who was renamed Israel). This foundational narrative is accepted by Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions, though with different interpretations.
