WW3 isn't going to kick off unless India and Pakistan get involved. Russia has no spare capacity, China doesn't care no one else has power to project.

The only plausible escalation would be China taking advantage of the reduced US munitions stockpile to attack Taiwan.

Regime change is always messy and there is nothing to say the new regime will be any better, or last more than a few bloody months.

There's plenty of room for improvement in Iranian government, but you don't bomb people into democracy.

Qatar says it shoots down two Russian-made jets from Iran​

We've just had a statement come in from Qatar's Ministry of Defence.

It claims its forces have shot down two Russian-made SU24 aircraft from Iran.

"They also successfully intercepted seven ballistic missiles through air defences, and intercepted five drones by Qatar Emiri Air Force and Qatar Emiri Navy Forces, which targeted several areas in the state today," it adds.

The ministry says the threat was "addressed immediately" as "all missiles were shot down before reaching their targets".

It also "urges citizens, residents, and visitors to remain calm".

And imposition from an external force is not only illegal, it doesn't work...

Some suggest destroying the entire Iranian military...

All that would do is create a power vacuum, and you only have to look to earlier illegal wars to see where that leads!

The country would be split apart by various factions funded by the very countries that Iran is currently firing missiles at!

That alleged 30,000 figure would pale into insignificance!
